Better late than never

This is what I'm meditating on:

I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,

and in his word I put my hope.

My soul waits for the Lord

more than watchmen wait for the morning.

--Psalm 130:5-6

There's so much to these verses. It talks about our source of hope, of being patient, of our soul longing for Christ. I love the metaphor of the watchmen... I can imagine him sitting on the wall of the city, waiting and watching, standing at attention, fully focused and committed.
